The Kirchhoffer Ontario Block, Ca. 1845 building dates to the earliest period in Port Hope's extensive downtown commercial district and is located in the Heritage District.  Designated under Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act, for the Walton Street Heritage Conservation District.  

Lovingly restored by the current owner in 1980, the entire infrastructure (wiring, heating, plumbing, etc), brickwork, heritage-style windows and storefront were replaced or restored under the guidance of Peter Stokes, Restoration Architect.
